Shane Martin

shane-headshotShane Martin is the principal of Arrow B Architecture. He started Arrow B with a simple premise: do good work with good people. He spent more than twenty years at top firms in Colorado and Kansas before striking out on his own in 2012.

Arrow B Architecture capitalizes on his wide-ranging experience: everything from one-of-a-kind, extraordinary residential projects, to tight, clever mixed-use spaces, myriad craft breweries, talk-of-the-town restaurants, and smart, functional office spaces. Shane’s pragmatic, problem-solving approach to architecture complements his keen sense of design. A cheeky sense of humor rounds out his approach to running his own firm.

Shane is a direct and honest communicator who stakes his reputation on the success of each project, and is proud that many clients have become longtime friends. His projects are successful because he treats contractors as allies, vendors and product reps as valued contributors, and consultants as experts.

More than twenty five years in architecture has given Shane hands-on experience in all aspects of project planning, programming, concept design, and construction phase services. His projects have been published in 5280 Magazine, Denver Magazine, 303 Magazine, VMSD, and Stone World. He also enjoys mentoring young professionals and young people considering a career in the field.

Shane graduated in 1993 with a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas. But truth be told, it wasn’t Shane’s education, experience, or grades that helped land his first job; it was a lucky meeting as he gave a bus tour of the University of Kansas campus. A man on the tour complimented Shane’s public speaking skills and somewhat irreverent humor, and asked what he was studying. Shane told him he was an architecture student and the man said, “I have an architecture firm in Wichita. You call me when you graduate.” Shane moved to Wichita in 1993 to work for Bill Livingston at Gossen Livingston Associates. He worked for Colorado firms based in Denver and Aspen until starting Arrow B Architecture in 2012.

Shane comes from a solid Midwest background. He credits his success to the values his parents instilled in him discipline, hard work, and humility. At graduation, his father shook his hand and said “Congratulations, son. Just remember that a shovel will still fit your hand.”

Ally Frueauf

ally-headshotAlly is a Western gal if ever there was one. She grew up in the great outdoors: riding horses and 4-wheelers in Wyoming and the light rail in Oregon, before deciding to get her Bachelor’s of Interior Architecture at the University of Oregon. She also studied at the Danish Design Institute for furniture design in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Ally comes from a long line of engineers. One of her grandfathers designed the sling to help land planes on aircraft carriers, while her other grandfather emigrated from Germany and designed his own tap and die set to work on the railroad.

Ally particularly enjoys working on small business projects that have a distinct personality. She likes building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and helping bring their dreams to fruition.

When she’s not working or experiencing the joys of  home improvement, Ally spends time with her English chocolate lab, Mac, and loves watching hockey and going snowshoeing. She’s an avid Oregon Ducks fan and served on the University of Oregon Denver alumni board.

Cimone Brown

Cimone cimone-headshotBrown has been creating structures since she was a kid; her first projects were intricate dioramas crafted out of papier-mache for school projects. Her interest in designing led her to the University of Oregon’s School of Architecture, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Interior Architecture degree.

Cimone loves when a design concept comes together. From materials to lighting and custom details, she works to understand how each detail can bring the project together into a cohesive and exciting whole. She looks forward to working with each client to take their ideas and incorporate them thoughtfully.

Outside of work, Cimone enjoys doing home improvement projects and is a secret video game nerd. As an avid Oregon Ducks fan, you’ll find her decked out in Duck gear cheering on her team on game day.

Jason Weber

Jason moved to Colorado in 1998 and has worked in the architectural field in the Denver area for 20 years. Originally from the Midwest, Jason grew up with city life during the week days and farm life on the weekends. Being up before the sun and working hard is engraved in him.

Jason’s experience includes a wide variety of commercial project types including banks, office buildings, and pre-engineered metal buildings. He has worked on senior care facilities across the United States, as well as several military bases including the United States Air Force Academy. Jason excels at project coordination, quality control, and construction phase services.

When not a pirate at the Renaissance Festival, you might find Jason at a billiard hall, working on his family tree, playing video games or just hanging out with his friends for a round of disc golf or volleyball.

(And somewhere along the way, Jason found the time to take a leap from the top turnbuckle into the world of professional wrestling. Not a typo. How could we not include that?!)
